Networking Initiative
FondMapou's Networking
Initiative is an attempt to connect all the non-profit organizations and individuals that work on Haiti related issues
together for the advancement of Haiti. There are hundreds of organizations working in or for Haiti supporting the plight of
Haitian people. However, most of these organizations are very distinctive, and each organization creates its own chain of
network and remains within its respective community. FondMapou seeks to work with the overall collective of organizations
through seminars and conferences providing a forum for them to exchange knowledge and experience that can benefit Haiti and
the local communities. Moreover, These sessions will encourage villagers in Haiti to learn about the common problems
that are affecting other communities and work together to find better solution. This initiative will provide these
organizations and individuals involved with a network to garner information about the various resources that are available to
them in Haiti and abroad.
FondMapou will collaborate
with organizations that are geared toward skill sharing to seek volunteers who are willing to donate their time and expertise
to teach the people in Haiti new skills. This initiative will fill the professional drainage that take place in Haiti,
whenever a coup d'etat occurred. At the same time, this program gives an opportunity those who have left Haiti a chance
to give back to their community. These efforts certainly enable FondMapou to fulfill its goal and put its motto into
practice. We strongly believe that only a chain of work involving Haitians, the Haitian Diaspora and the friends of
Haiti can "Rebuild Haiti, One Department at Time." This process will rally the Haitian Diaspora to become investors and
stakeholder in the future development of Haiti.
FondMapou will use its establish network to generate information package to educate the Haitian communities as well
as identifying community resources that can provide services the Haitian people in various communities throughout the U.S. and
in Haiti. FondMapou will serve as a liaison and resource center for nonprofit organizations, individuals, and the
international communities in an effort to educate our constituents while improve the quality of life for Haitians who reside
at home and abroad.
